Went up the Lake Pyramid today. Never fished there. . Never even seen a striper before. Launched when they opened at 0700. Water temp was 58 to 59. Trolled from the launch ramp towards the main part of the lake for 1 bite. Metering the whole time got some good marks right at the end of the point. Anchored up and started soaking some cut sardine took about 10 minutes and starting getting some marks under the boat again.

Wow!!!! Good job for your first time out there and cool report. I fished Pyramid for the first time about a month ago and caught 2 LMB & 1 SMB. I love that lake and the Smallmouth Bass are fun to catch. I need to get back out there and try and catch some Striper.

The rod that I rigged with a really small split shot got bit but the fly-line rod was the hot ticket..6lb with a 6lb Fluorocarbon leader with a small swivel between..So I guess the swivel added a little weight. Caught a few on straight 4lb also..
