My first moo moo trip

Got on the boat the Chubasco 2 out of San Diego at 5:30 and what do you know the bait shop is 200 feet in front of the dock we got some sardine and some anchovies left the bait shop at 6:00. Then we headed south towards the Mexican, waters for the next 3 hours some how know one told me that part so at 9:00 the captain started slowing down so everyone started to grab there pole and heading to the rail 10 minutes.
Goes buy the captain comes over the p.a and says “people please sit down and be patent with me I am trying to find the fish, or if you want we could fish right here please sit down I will let you know when to.
Start fishing.10 minutes goes buy he stop and the crew starts to chum then he says start fishing so we start bottom fishing for sand bass. I caught my limit then the barracuda, showed up and start cutting every one off one after the next and then the seals so at 11:30. The captain says were going to the island to try for yellow got there at 12:00 I started fishing, the bottom for two rock fish and a short ling then I switched up to fly line for yellow firs sardine out got cut off buy a barracuda, so what do I do get a number 2 live bait hook open the eye with a players put a steal wire leader on crimp the eye close retie.
Grab the crazies sardine nose hook him and off the stern he goes and started to swim away from the boat next ting you the line starts to go crazy. I n free spool thumb the spool, set the hook fish on brought him in cuda caught the next two the same way all cuda cough on light tackle Shimano crucial 7’11’’ medium action Diawa coastal 20 lb spectra. We only caught two yellow on the boat but Everyone had a great time and caught something .great captain and crew .

Looks like a lot of fun. Sometimes it seems like them boat rides take a long time. Much more fun holding the wheel and grabing the throttle 8)
