4 hours on the morning bite Sunday morning.
Got 12 good size bass.
Here's a picture of my cousin with a 4.5 pounder.

Nice. What are they hitting right now?

I've only fished there once so far this year (even though I live 2 minutes away), and only managed one bed bass on a shakyhead rigged senko in front of the landing.

I probably shoulda checked the shore access before I went and bought two permits this year. 1 of the 2 available shoreline spots is pretty much overgrown... and they took out a bunch of the docks. Doesn't look like its going to be quite the year as I had last year. Oh well.

Lucky !! I grew up in Newbury Park and fished Westlake and Lake Sherwood daily as a kid. Great memories. Used to slam the pigs were the sherwood spillway water flows into Westlake. Great place you guys have there. Are there still Crappie in there ?
