Went out to DVL on 05-07-10 and fished for 2 1/2 hours. I wanted to get a practice round in before my ABA Tournament on Saturday. Weather conditions were perfect, nice and sunny and a little wind. I caught (9) keepers and a few short ones as well. All the fish were released to fight another day.
A lot of males are still on the beds in the shallow water. Most of the bigger females are still holding on points, secondary points, humps, and structure in 15-25 ft or deeper. A lot of the females are in post-spawn mode......long and thin.
If you like fishing and want to have a great time, get out to DVL and enjoy the scenery and the fishing at one of the best lakes that Southern California has to offer. Until next time, Tight Lines........
