Beautful Conditions greeted anglers that arrived at the lake today for the May Trout Madness Tournament, it was sunny with virtually no wind and just perfect for fishing. Fishing was really good in the morning with the bait guys and troll guys gettin them pretty good. Anglers that where trolling where able to maintain a steady pace pretty much all day. Here is a Happy Angler.

huge smile on this guys face.

Now for the Grand Prize! The grand prize was a house boat trip at Lake Mead provided by Forever Resorts. And this prize was a week long house boat trip on Lake Mead a drum roll please!!! $5,000 value!!!!!!!!
The winners name was drawn and the name was Jordan Horrita. All I see is this little kid running at Mach 10 from the back of the crowd to the stage. I swear he covered the 100yd strech in maybe 3 seconds!! The Chargers or my hometown Bills need to look into this kid this is how fast he covered the ground! He had the biggest smile on his face when Hutch handed him the awared and the whole crowd just gave the kid the best ovation! Here is a picture of little Jordan with his prize.

The whole time I was trying to take this picture he had that same huge smile and could not stop talking about fishing and how much he was amped for this trip.
Here are all the winners of trophies, plaques and grand prizes.

I would like to thank everyone that came out to this event. What an event it was. Bill Hutchinson as always you put on a amazing event! Can't believe we are allmost closing out trout season and heading into what looks to be a SPECTACULAR Catfish season with tons of events lined up. Opening Night for Catfish will be Friday June 11th with the first tournament being held on June 12th (this event will be a King or Queen of the Cats qualifier!) Back by popular demand is the King or Queen of the Cats Classic. Will Chris "Trollmeister" Hagopian be able to defend his crown from the masses??? Only time will tell!!!! Hope to see you all out on the water very soon.
Tight Lines everyone,

This event was very well put together. I enjoyed the whole day. Catching trout, bass, and whippers on power bait, lures and the troll. And with my lucky angler number I walked away with a few raffled prizes. All in all one of the best tournaments I have been to, thanks Bill for a great job.

Now on to the Catfish tournys and some Bassin.

Even though we got skunked we enjoyed being there along with winning some of the prizes and myself winning the last hundred bucks being given away, for sure next year along with renting a boat or using my Outcast pontoon boat which I now know I should have brought with me, oh well.
