Difficult Session At The City Park

On Thursday I visited one of the local city parks in search of bass. Lately I been chasing the sunfish "on the fly", but after reading some of the latest reports, I got the itch for the some bassin'.

Got to the park around 5pm. Started off with TX, then changed up with a jerk bait which were ineffective. After getting tired of tossing the jerk bait around, I decided to give the DS a try before ending my session with a skunk. While I'm casting out the DS, I noticed and weed line about 10-12ft out. I start casting into the weed line and slowly work the DS out and BAM, I hook into this "lean and mean" bass.

This fella give me a pretty good fight for his size. He jumped about four times trying to spit the hook, but only succeeded in tossing my last worm.:Sad:
And even though it's not a impressive catch, it did save me from the skunk.
