Hit up santa fe dam with my buddy richy, we havnt fished together in a while and decided to give it a shot
and then grab some dinner at one of richys favorite spot after the trip.
We got to the lake around 330pm and started fishing by the boat rentals and then moved across the lake
into the shrubs and under some trees cuz we were baking hot and needed shade.
There we just sat back and enjoyed the day go by, thru time i noticed some bluegill and dink bass swimming
in front of us. So i took advantage of it and down sized our gear and managed to hook us both up to beat the
skunk and bring a little action before the days end. They were no whoppers or anything i would tell grand kids
about, but they did the job for my buddy and me.
Heres a few pics of the santa fe slay.....lol, hey ..it beat the skunk!!!:Big Grin:

Not trying to jack your thread Bones; but I just wanted to back you up on the report.
I got the call from Fishinnut yesterday morning to meet at Santa Fe for some fishing and I was on my way.
I got there at 10:30ish and headed for the jurassic side of the lake.
Unfortunately, Fishinnut was on the other side of the lake by the swim beach; so we didn't meet up.
I managed to get one small bass soon after working the dropshot.
Look real close and you can see Fishinnut in the background; Haha, we'll get em next time bro.

I lost another one nice one soon after, then it seemed to slow down when it got hot.
I had my ultralight setup with me and cleaned up on those spawning bluegill.

I managed to catch six, and they are starting to get a little bigger. Plus, wherever there are bluegill, the bass are always close by.
Sorry, I didn't get to meet you guys out there.
I left around 1:30, when someone saw a rattlesnake.
Peace
