Does any one have any inforomation in discount tickets to catalina island? or cupons of some sort. In other words does any one have a way to get to catalina island by the cheapest way possible (besides swimming)?

Don't know about the price now but check the Catalina Flyer out of Newport Harbor. Big, stable, fast.

All day basic bass boat rental fee at DVL. $60

Maybe I'll think about this some more.

What about the Catalina Ferry in LB?

I can get tickets for about $51 through my job, thats the cheapest I've seen. Even with a coupon/discount you'll still be looking at $50.........

you plan on fishing the island?

I'm convinced the moderate ticket price is "fixed" so as to keep some of the riff-raff off the darn island.... :D

I htink that if you go out of longbeach its cheaper. I remember it being like $35 back in the day for a round trip ticket. Im sure its not that bad now. Yet gas prices have gone up a lot since then.
