Hit the Upper yesterday (5/4) from 8am-3pm. Had a decent bite at the BL for a couple hours, but lots of 'em were short bites, just little picks. Scratched 3 from the BL and the bite died down. Headed over to a near-by spot and missed a couple, landed one. Ended the day with 4 fish to come home and end up on my plate. Fish were a little smaller grade for us today, 1-2 pounders with one a little better size. KPN was out there slaying 'em. He was able to scratch his limit with all of the short biters. When he left, we moved over to his spot and just missed a ton of little nibbles and short strikes. I caught one 17" LMB at that spot on a cut dine out of all things. Released ofcourse. Good times fishing with you KPN! I remember you shouting out "SAVE THIS SPOT, ok SAVE THIS SPOT, I COMMAND YOU!" hahaha good times man. We saved it, your buddy came back and got one more while we were there.

SIDE NOTE: Caught the weirdest looking little creature. Almost looks like a baby lingcod lol. Just hope it's not one of those snakeheads or anything of that sort. Anyone have a clue what it is??

The mystery fish. What is this thing?!?

Again, a mystery (to me).

No action shots or more fish pics as my camera battery was real low and kept shutting off every time I tried to take a pic. It took like 10 tries to get the pics I did lol. Note to self...remember AA batteries next time...Thanks for reading. Till next time....

Ahhh, freshwater sculpin. Learn something new everyday.

I did fish with it. Flylined it, splitshot, sliding sinker, dropped down with weight at different depths. Not a single bite. It was still moving too, giving itself action but no biters. I have it in the freezer right now, gonna try it next time.
