Manny and I took Caleb fishing on Sunday afternoon.

We were checking out some spots on the way down the lake when we saw these guys.

There was lots of stained water like you see in the picture from the rough water earlier in the day and with the deer sighting we decided to try trolling for a short while to see how things are coming along.

We didn't get any out of the stained water or it's edges even though we marked fish. I was telling Manny I don't see what I'm looking for. Then I saw a familiar formation on the fish finder and told him, "If we don't get hit here we might as well pull up and go bait and wait.

As the lures passed the school we were rewarded,

with a standard schoolie!

Cap'n and KPN passed us as we were circling back. We made another pass on the school without hooking up but found out we had had a lure stolen when we were putting the rigs away to take Caleb down to put him on some fish.

GeordyBass and his dad were fishing the buoy line down the way from Cap'n and KPN when we got there.

It didn't take long, (That's code for I only farmed a couple.) and we started putting fish in the boat. My back was killing me, I was trying to smile.

Caleb got in on the action helping me with a nice fish.

A little later he was hilarious. He had been trying to get me to sing with him when I hooked up a fish. I said "Caleb do you want to help reel up this fish." and he said "Yes, after we sing Angels we have heard on high.". He was going to reward me by reeling up the fish if I would sing. Talk about turning the tables.

Cap'n and KPN moved over and anchored up and KPN got in on the action.

Caleb help me to reel in another. Yes, my back was feeling better. Thank you!

After a couple good hits that came unbuttoned the Tigger Pole finall stuck one. A nice one!

The wind changed and blew Cap'n and KPN 's anchor loose, so they moved over on the point. Geordy and his dad moved around the point.

KPN kept right on slaying. That's GeordyBass and his Dad behind them.

Cap'n did a great job, netting KPN's fish.

I stuck another nice one.

Everybody headed in and we got a couple more.

Manny put a couple schoolies in the boat and I farmed several.

The farming was profitable.

We had ten fish at the end of the day. Three nice ones and seven schoolies.

Yep BIG WINDS.
I went out with Joe in the Tracker on Sunday.
We arrive early and were on the water befor 7Am.
We made a run for the line. I farmed the first fish while tring to rig my 2nd pole.
The fishing was good and the winds howed big time. I farmed about four or five.
I put 6 on the boat and threw back a pair. Jore farmed a few first thing. It turned out that he had picked up some
bad 2lb line. He ended up with six or seven.

We were blown off the lake around 11AM, the lake was shut down by 11:30. We were on the road home by 12PM!

It was so windy and bouncy at the line, we were lucky to catch anything! Between the wind noise, boat rocking, and the poles bouncing all over the place! We were road hard and sent home wet, but with some nice fish!

They are out there and on the chew!
See ya on the water next time.

They are on the chew. I'm sure that we could have gotten more on the troll. We didn't hit hard at all and we got one and lost a lure.

I'm happy that I wasn't there for the rough weather. My back was killing me when we first got there. Doing the wind dance wouldn't have helped.

Your going to be OK. I haven't heard of exams killing anybody recently.

We'll get out there soon.

Chovies were all that I tried yesterday. They worked.

I was fishing 1/8 and 1/4 oz. slip sinkers, setting the depth according to the fishfinder.

KPN and Cap'n were flylining and getting them.

Good luck tomorrow.

That Tigger pole (I thought it was a Taz pole.) was just awful. The drag worked OK but I had to put slack in the line to get it to reel up. Were yours like that?

KPN.

We enjoyed fishing with you guys, your good company.

P.S. I caught most of my fish on Saturday by ignoring my poles. When I hung onto them or grabbed them to soon, I took the bait away from the fish. I saw the biggest fish darting up and down on the fish finder and figured he was hooked, then checked my poles. I think flylining gives them time too.
