aMY buddy john and I both decided that we needed to go fishing, so we figured we might as well go after work. We both clocked out early so we could pick up a couple things in retail and headed over to campus. The fishing started off really slow, neither of us getting bit on anything. John decides to switch up to a 3" berkley chigger craw in green pumpkin with blue flake and landed the first of the day.

I decided to switch to a chigger craw as well in cinnamon with purple flake...still nothing for me. Bite slowed way down again. A couple other guys there then landed a decent fish on a wacky rigged worm it looked like. We decided to make our way over to the other side of the pond and john proceeded to get mobbed by the locals.

Finally, as the sun went down the bit began to pick up. We changed to darker chigger craws since it seemed to be what was working. John missed a pretty good bite so I decided to be a jerk and casted where he missed it and landed my first fish of the night, a 7 incher. Got another similar fish on the very next cast. As I cast out again, John says, "Well, you got the numbers, I still have the size." I proceed to get hit on the drop and land this guy, the biggest I've caught from the pond yet.

Gunna head back out with headlamps next time to stay later for the night bite.
