How fun isCastaic Lake?

Hey guys whats going on, me and my wife and baby are planning a trip to Castiac. Just wanted to clear things up before i make my decision. Does Castaic have any sort of playground for children? I saw the pictures on their website and it only shows one slide lol. Maybe you locals can tell me a little different, is the 2 hour drive worth it?

I'm also doing some bass fishing btw, and i know that's fun.

On the West side of the Lagoon, there are some playgrounds and other things for the family, but you can only fish on the East side from shore. Nothing at the Upper Lake though, if that is where you want to go.
