Have been talking to SHOCK for a bit about going fishing. While we have talked, and seen each other on the water for a few years, we have never gone fishing.
Normally, Shock can be seen trolling in Pyramid or Castaic on a regular basis. But given the troll has been pretty weak, he was interested in checking out bait fishing.
.
We get in line about 6:30, and see uncle Bob a few cars ahead, so we wander over a chat. Before you know it, the line is moving, and we launch.
Bob was waiting for Wingnut and striper virgin, so we took off in search of linsides.
A few minutes later we were doing circles around the spot, and watching the meter. Fish yes, depth of fish 20-50, water temp 60, water depth 250 ! Dam, that’s a lot of rope. Well we are looking for a high spot, while re-doing the anchor rope, we tie 2 anchors on one end as we do not want to have to re-set.

Down goes the anchor, and goes, and goes and well you get the idea. The wind was blowing about 5-10 in a south easterly direction, so we stuck the anchor, settled down, and went over the fine points of baitin and waitin.

Joseph (shock) got right to it, and it was not long till he was on his first fish of the day, then his second, then his third, Hey what about me ! I was catching fish, but they looked more like bait.

Soon TO and crew showed up, and they started catching fish. We meanwhile had drifted to far to the east, so we re set, and the slay began. The fish would come through and all rods would get hit. It was tough to get a second rod in the water. They were hungry, and hitting almost anything!
It was not long till we were culling our smaller fish, as we were very close to our limit.
It was about noon when Joseph mentioned that we might want to make the fish bleed………..being a family board, I can not go into too much detail, but the pics should give you an idea of what followed.
