The guys running the rentals love to burn fishing time and disappearing. That said… We got to Piru around 630, hit the water at 715 and motored straight to one of the spots. Really light traffic on the lake this morning, so we could slide in on our pontoon to good spots without pissing everyone off. Fishing was really slow. I managed one little buddy on the drop shot earlier in the day, and another little buddy on a huge carp colored crank bait around mid morning while buzzing the weeds. Crappie seemed to have move or shut off, haven't caught 1 in a few trips.

Nice morning

another little buddy. this guy acted like he had been caught before, and just gave up once out of the water. let me hold him by the back and belly without freaking out once.

Good Job Mr. Jones!
Those little ones are feisty as the day gets hotter. A few broke my line off on sunday. I blame it on all the twigs and grass. LOL
