bass help?!

O.k i am making the switch:) from trout to bass. talk about feeling like a fish out of water. so i went to bps picked up some gear. heres what i got.
rod - BPS TOURNEY SPECIAL 6'6 - LURE WT:3/8-1OZ. POWER MEDIUM HEAVY ACTION FAST
reel - TOURNAMENT PRO BPS REEL 10 BEARINGS POWERLOCK INSTANT ANTI-REVERSE 6.3:1 GEAR RATIO
PICKED UP SOME FROGS 6 HARD BAITS

was gonna use my ul 7'6 trout rod for robo worms drop shoting with 4-6lb line?

please give me any advise. i am new and feel overwhelmed.

was gonna throw cranks-frogs and hards with new rod. is it to stiff?

The BPS rod will be fine for the reaction baits. The trout rod may be a little too light though depending on whether or not it has fast taper action. If it bends mostly at the tip half and is a bit stiffer in the lower half of the rod, it's fast taper. If it bends pretty even throughout the legnth of the rod, it may be too soft....not say that it would not work though....
