While telling a few fishing lies to some other fellow swimbait throwers…

I didn’t even have my head turned towards the water but I was still in tune with my environment !

This poor feller’ fell victim to the KPN topwater steel !

Saweeet but he must have had some trauma as a juvenile Jailbird cause most of his main dorsal fin was gone, hence the “Sway-back” striper comment.

Never caught one like that before, I guess there’s a first time for everything.

That Sway-back striper just could not resist that walk the dog swaying action of KPN wood…

I have noticed a slight depression on stripers on that very spot of the fish. Never so pronounced than that.
By far the most severe. Not typical by any standard.

I would like to add that it is no surprise that you weren't looking at the strike. If there is a dude around, I am 100% sure where your eyeballs were!

Most of the Dorsal is GONE, just the 1st 2 1/2 inches or so (no pun you crazy bakonian !)

most of the main dorsal is just plain missing !
