Those of you who use McAfee Anti-Virus software may want to read this before doing any further updates at the moment.....

my sister got that thing. total nightmare, had to do a system restore, lost everything. luckily she had Carbonite. i'm down with PC Cillin from jump.

VirusScan thought an important Windows file was a virus and quarantined it. You just needed to restore the file from the quarantine folder or from the INF folder and install a fix that would turn off that scan until a new DAT file was released. Only around 20+ laptops were infected at my job.
