Got a text from Jeff (Webmaster) saying " The white seabass are biting wanna go?"....and i jump up off my seat
and text back "heck yeah" as fast as my two thumbs can,so we set it up and i got off work early and met up at his
pad to load up and we were on our way. Got to the marina and launched the boat and started harbor cruising from
bait receiver to bait receiver hoping for some bait but no luck locally. we left the harbor to smooth glassy seas
and beautiful weather so we motored across the big salty lake in hopes to find some live squid at catalina island.
we radioed to the island squid boats on the frontside with no luck so we headed to the backside and just as we
were already at the fishing grounds the squid boats finally radio back saying there passing long point heading to avalon
....me and jeff look at each other like dang it ...so jeff pulls a u turn and were off back to the frontside and finally meet
up with the squidders and get our receiver full of the ink and talked with the deckhand for some info and advise and
decide to anchor up in front of boyscout beach, by this time it was 45mins till sunrise and the day begain.
First up was me with a calico and bonita combo at sunrise while jeff caught a nap....that woke him up nicely..
and soon jeff was on a fish,

we ended up being only a few hundred yards from the fishing grounds where the white seabass were being caught
so we pulled anchor and lined up with all the otherprivate boats and a few charter boats for a try at the whites and
any other willing victims.

our numbers of fish were high for all species and we easily limited out in our final head count for the day.
we never found the white seabass but had a great day slaying all other species and were happy with the final results.
