Lake Piru is putting on a there own fishing night tournament for Saturday the 24th....I believe the times are from 7:30pm to 12:30...I had fished the first one, at it was alot of fun....Prizes, annual lake passes, Etc, are given to the top finishers....Anytime you can fish our local lakes at night, gives you a great opportunity of catching a fish of a life time....I believe the cost is 50 dollars per team, and 2 teams max per boat...Call up to the lake for more info....See you there...805-521-1500

Nice! How many boats usually and how do they do the payout? Is there a big fish option?

Its more of a fun fish deal than anything...Pontoon boats, aluminum boats, bass boats, are all welcome...They just started doing the tournaments a few months back...I was told first place gets half the pot, second place both anglers get vehicle and boat annual passes for the lake...i also think they are giving camping passes too...the last tournament only had i think like 6 boats...if you placed in the top 3 u and your partner received annuals...which u do the math...50 dollars split between your partner out of six boats...n u each get passes valued at 175 bucks a piece....not a bad gig...not sure if they are doing big fish options....

Its better not to have as many fish weighed in at night.....less chance of fish dieing...
