Due to my wife's misfortune of this...

Second degree burn on her right hand... It sucks! Doctors orders...No work for 2 weeks! He didn't say she can't have fun! So, We headed out for the lake for a double header. Take her mind away from pain and worries.
So the fun starts with plenty of sun on Saturday. Breezy conditions. Lots of little fish and a few barely keepers. I started casting out my newly painted baits. I've been busy all winter painting my old scorn baits with a coat of fresh designs. This is becoming addicting. I even got my wife who's an artist into painting a few. Infact, one of her creations started a frenzy on the first day. Unfortunately, she had to slow down to drop shotting because her hand was just not ready to crank fast baits. She probably would have caught more, yet slowing down to drop shotting didn't slow her down from catching many fish.
Here are a few pic worthy barely legals. Total fish count on the first day 16.

The second day was a bit tougher. The weather cooled off a bit. It was very windy for most of the day. We discovered some new water. Even caught a 13" trout! Well, we weren't really fishing for trout.
Total fish count on second day 13. Mostly my wife catching on drop shot. I got a few on crankbait. Lots of dinks 8-10 inch.
Here are a couple of barely legals.

We really didn't even explore fishing by the dam. We know there's always fish there. Since the water level has been up. We've been busy exploring newly flooded areas.

So glad to see you all out fishing as a family 1st off....thats freakin saweeet !

AND, it's refreshing to see hardcore fishermen (or fisher-women-in this case) heading out there regardless of injuries.

AND

Nothing is sweeter than to add it all up with some nice quality catches..

Nice Feesh !

Take care of that would, an ounce of preventions worth a pound of cure !

Keep it clean....keep it with Neosporin

Vitamin E pills to help scarring...

Take the Vitamins orally at first and as time goes on cut them open and apply to the wound area.

NICE catches !

Nice catches.

Oh man, Owe! Gary's right take care of that wound. Burns get infected easily.

She is hardcore, fishing with that hand has got to hurt.

Get well soon!

Thanks Gary. She's a trooper. She swore, " she'll never ever go out fishing with her hand like that again" - since she was in so much pain when we got home. I don't think i will be able to convince her to stay home even then. She loves to fish.
