Well, I've been fishing very little these last few months so I'll post up on my latest outing. I got to the lake around 6 and had my line in the water about ten minutes later. My first plan of attack was to throw for the trout. I figured since the water is pretty cold without any sun, I should throw for trout. Well, I tied on a red and gold Thomas Buoyant and on the first cast, BAM! Fish on! He held on for a few seconds, but then jumped twice and spit the hook. I could see the colors and it was a nice holdover. Even though I lost it, I was later redeemed. Around 6:45 or so, I hooked up on another trout. This time, I got it! Fought it for a few seconds and pulled in a nice holdover.

Caught on a red and gold Thomas Buoyant and safely released.
Around the time the sun started peeking over the far mountain, I started fishing for bass. At first I threw a Sunfish swimbait, but no followers. Then I threw my 8" Spro, and saw one follow it in. That was a good sign. I got tired of fishing where I was so I took off and fished some shoreline. I stood in one spot and ended up hooking up on six LMB's, and landing 4 of them. I'll let the pictures do most of the talking:

All of them were caught on jigs fished very, very, very slow and in very shallow water.

This was from the day before, but today was the same.

No wind and great weather combined for great fishing.
