I was at a game last year and a guy sitting next to us had his radio on. I don't know what station he was tuned into (my Spanish is very basic) but the announcer was the BEST. Though I couldn't make out many words, the passion was clear. Even the most routine pop-fly was called as though he were watching the Hindenburg crash.

Who is that guy? What station is he on?

Muchas gracias para todo sus ayudo!

Fernando Valenzuela was a great pitcher. But, he's not a very good color man. Definitely not the person you were listening to. It hurts to even hear him call the game. All he does is repeat what the previous statement was.

"Fernando, that ball was left up and it cost the pitcher dearly."

"Yes, the ball was pitched high."

You must have been listening to Jaime Jarrín. For many Spanish listeners, he's their "Vin Scully." I love listening to him and José Mota for the Angels. Both are very knowledgeable and passionate about their job.
