Been hitting the duct on and off locally in the AV and the stripers are not cooperating. Arm still hurts when working the lures for a bit so I have been taking some bait with me and changing it up and fishing for catfish to give the arm a rest. Some are catch and release and some I keep for family or friends that want them. The bite has been pretty good lately. Last week no flow and I was getting them with one of my "old techniques that hardly ever fails" and recently the flow has been wide open and using another "old technique that hardly ever fails" in this type of flow. Bait is chicken liver. Here are some pics of several different days catches.

The stripers are what got my arm. I was catching a lot since late last year up to a few weeks ago and I developed what I jokingly call striper elbow, although it is actually true and not a joke. It has gotten a little better, especially since taking a break somewhat and them not biting recently. You have to remember that I make hundreds of casts too each time I go out and work the various lures and it finally took its toll. The catfish are a way to break the skunk and work the non hurting arm using a spinning reel and I also get my duct fix in at the same time. There's nothing like a striper on the end of the line but I'll take a catfish too if the stripers won't cooperate.

catfish 17, I got your pm and replied but it says your mailbox is full and won't accept any more messages. I'll just post my response to your pm here since I already typed it.
"It is the California aqueduct. It's a 444 mile concrete river that runs from the Sacramento delta to SoCal and feeds most of our reservoirs. I mainly fish the Antelope Valley sections of it. I use chicken liver and anchovy for them. Mainly chicken liver though."

Sounds like tennis elbow. I used to get it sometimes when I shod a lot of horses...swinging a 2.5# hammer all day. Try this to fix it:
Put a band of athletic tape around your forearm, about 3" below your elbow. It may take a few times to get the proper tension with the tape...not too tight, not too loose.
I went from not able to lift a hammer to shoeing horses all day. If it's tennis elbow...it will be immediate relief.
