We were on the water at 7:00 am. We hit our first spot shortly after. On my second cast, fish on! Nice 2 pound Crappie. Great way to start the day. And before I could get it in the live well, the wife was hooked up with another big slab. From that point, it was none stop action! I thought we'd hit the honey hole. The Crappie bite was wfo for about the first 2 and a 1/2 hours straight. We were getting one slab after another. Then the bite started to dwindled down, and then shut completely off at around 9:00 am. It was a blast while it lasted though. We then decided to go hunt for the LMB's. We found a nice spot that was very productive, mostly 2's and 3's. We Fish for a couple of more hours. The bite went dead around 10:30, so we decided to wrapped it up. We were off the lake by 11:00 am. Final count 27 Crappie, 2 Redear, and 16 LMB. Here are a few pics from the catches.

Peace!

Oh you can believe it young blood. Check out the stringer my Pops is holding. we caught over a 80 plus Crappie on that day, we only kept our limit of the big ones. Also on that same day, we caught 40 plus bass, and that's still not my best day. 3 years ago my wife and I fished Isabella and we were both bringing in one crappie on every cast. We caught over 150 Crappie that day. We only kept our limit of course. The fish never stop bitting. We finally just gave up. Believe me, once you've get some years on the water, you will be surprise how great the fishing can be, you just got to put the time in. So get out there, and let us know when you have that epic day.

Wow. That is amazing. How many years/time on the water before you had your first epic day?

Thanks for posting these pics. It's a real incentive to those of us just getting started.

My first epic day was at Lake Silverwood I was around 24 yrs old. I had been fishing for about ten years. My buddy and I filled up two basket of crappie. That was around 1984 or 85. Back then there were no limit on them. What a shame! My first epic Bass catch was at lake Isabella, 2004. That's when I first got my boat. I caught 62 Bass, over a period of two days, off of one tree. That was in about four feet of water. The smallest was 6 pds 9 oz. The Largest was 10 pds 3 oz. I haven't had a day like that since. There's still time though. I've had a lot of days where I caught a large number of Bass, but not the giant ones like at Isabella. Here's a few pictures from back then.
