Went back yesterday and caught 30 crappie (me and my brother combined) 1 bass (3lbs) released, on a crappie jig and 1 nice Kitty Cat. I would wait until the weather gets steadily warmer again before I try the shore/bank, that's when the shore anglers were catching most of their crappie.

If anyone lives near Torrance, I'd be glad to give you a couple of these slabs. but probably just the first two members who PM me, that's if you live close enough.

Nice work, how long did you fish and does the wind pick up there in the afternoon?

Yep! on a boat in 3, 4 and 5 feet of water, find some structure in the water or brush area.
I caught two of my slabs in 2 1/2 feet of water (while in a boat) yesterday. the wind does pick sometime in the afternoon, but doesn't last very long. each time we went the forecast was for 10 to 15 mph winds, and we only witness little spurts (maybe 3 to 5 minutes)of wind gusts and after that it would settle down.

Actually they were biting the goldfish while they were dead, floating under a bobber. we caught most of our fish on the green jigs.

Yes mister perfect! lol I'll keep that in mind next time I got out, But like I said most of the fish were caught with old fashion jiggin in one particular hot spot. that's why there's more left! Anyway... there's a lot of BIG crappie in the lake, the warmer weather should help the bite even more!
