Hey all, squeezed in an overnighter this weekend with niel. It was between the freedom the liberty, needless to say the liberty called me first to confirm. We get there with only 11 passengers total sweet!! but there was a little confusion on the destination, being we had only 11 people going captain wanted to hit Catalina instead!.. But after a little talking back and forth we made his mind on Clemente. Maybe he didn't wanted to be the only overnight boat not making it to Clemente? Nonetheless it was a great decision.... Met the crew and they were all a happy go lucky bunch. They were happy to serve us,the way it should be. Anyways the trip was pretty smooth, was hearing a little about ruff swells but there was none to be seen.. Unfortunately that wasn't the only thing unseen! No yellows or wsb... Oh well, next time.. But all in all it was a great and smooth trip we stocked up on bottom fish and had a good bite on the calico's :Big Grin:they were a blast on the iron!
I kinda focused on using bigger baits for bigger fish, think it worked out good..
Met another fnner on board (RICH and NOAH) Great meeting you rich see you next time! Nice name for your son by the way!:LOL:Sorry for the late post, worked 12 hours the next day(sun) and again today.. I was beat!!:Explode: lol!.. Good now ,finally some recover time.
Well enough chit chat here go the pics...

Hey LBFishHntr-

Nice post. Great meeting you and Neil, we'll have to hook up for a future trip.

I actually posted my fish on another post (Eclipse), but here it is again...

In retrospect, that calico bite was pretty darn good, and with only 3 of us on the stern, it was comfy fishing. Nice job on the the yo-yo calicos, next time they'll be yellows.

Also, forgot to mention the jackpot was a ling (barely 24") caught on a rental rod!
