Finally got a chance to fish DVL last Thursday. Took my son, his school friend and father. Overall, it was a bit tough. The weather was maybe too nice, very sunny with very little wind. A lot of fish up in the shallows. We fished mainly drop shot and split shot rigs on light line and managed a handful of fish. My son caught the biggest, around 4lbs. It was incredible seeing groups of 4-5 lb. bass cruising the shallows. Overall, it was a very fun and enjoyable day at DVL and I am glad that I was able to launch my boat. Thanks to all of those who supported the extension of the launch ramp. (PS, need to teach my son how to take pictures & frame the whole fish)
