Decided to break in Tesserz's new rod today. She's been itching to try it out ever since it came in.

Her new weapon of bass destruction!

It's sooo Pink..:Sissy Fight: and she even got it personalized. :Rolls Eyes:

Was on the water by 0700 and arrived to what we thought was going to be the perfect conditions: early morning, outgoing tide, and overcast skies. Unfortunately, fishing was hit and miss all morning. But we managed a nice mix of fish by the end of the day. The strong breeze made fishing a little difficult at times, but we survived. Enjoy the fish porn.

Overall, it was a decent day of fishing. As always, a few missed and a few farmed. The breeze really sucked, but we can't complain. Tess got the quantity and I got the quality. But I found out today that pink rods really do catch fish.

Have you guys started giving those spotties names ?

I'm 99.9% sure it is the same place they always go. Some of those boats and houses and docks pics have been in other posts.

Tesserz & Jaysuuun,

Glad to see you 2 out playing "Fetch the Swimmie" with our harbor pets again!

A 7 species day working only the artificial is a great accomplishment!

And then there is the Triple Doubles, Tessers having good sucess with the new Pink Rod, the PB Turd Roller, and the conditions sucked??????

"HO HUM"

You also accomplished a goal of mine. That would be that the boat got the Harbor Quadruple on the bass!!!!!!

Spottie, Sandie, Calico, and WSB!

CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!

Not a bad day my friends!

Very nice Jaysun. Not a bad day at all. I've been busy getting my skunk on at Mission Bay. I'll be getting a boat soon, so you'll see me out and about terrorizing your neighborhood soon haha.

BTW What is the strength of your trolling motor? Any issues when the wind picks up?

My turn next Sunday!

Thanks Arthur, our 7 species was quite an accomplishment and a first for us. Our "his & her" hookups happened all within a half hour. (Say that 3 times really fast,.)

Looked like you guys had some fun with the perch up north. Just wating for that WFO legal hali report from you to get us motivated to hit the surf again.

where were u guys fishing

We fished the floating docks and next to the boats especially the shady areas when the sun is high in the sky. Good luck out there.

Awesome going you guys! Looks like you had a blast. Kewl rod Tess and congrats on the PB Jason!

Thanks Mike. Fishing was fun, but the wind was not fun. The PB Sandie was fun on light tackle and Tess' new rod just looks funny.

Thanks. Looks like the larger butts are starting to move in although we didn't catch any larger models. I think I read a report of a nice legal caught yesterday on another board.

Nice job on the variety of fish caught.

Thanks. We were pretty excited about it when we looked back at our pics.

Awesome job Jason! When we fishing?!

Yo biley, good to hear from you. Let's do it! I'll PM you sometime.

Hey Jason,
Nice day with Tess and her new pink rod...Very nice assortment of fish, especially the WSB.

Thanks John, Tess has always wanted a pink rod, but I refused to allow her to get a cheapy Wal-Mart special so this was her dream come true. I have to admit even though it's pink, it slayed the bass.

Tesserz & Jaysuuun,

Glad to see you 2 out playing "Fetch the Swimmie" with our harbor pets again!

Steve

LOL Steve, we didn't even realize that we caught 4 different kinds of bass til you mentioned it. We always refer to a WSB as a WSB forgetting that a WSB is indeed a bass. We didn't expect to catch that many species. We usually just try for the spotties with the occasional sandie and hali mix.

Okay fishing didn't suck that bad. It really was slow and discouraging the first half of the day, but it did pick up toward the end. And the wind did not let up from the time we got there til the time we left. It was difficult to keep the boat in position and fish at the same time. Before I could make a cast we were getting blown to the next couple of docks.

But I'm glad we toughed it out and did not quit because we were rewarded in the end. I was especially rewarded with a PB.

BTW Tess' new rod is ready for Spottie slaying at the reunion. When will that be? :Big Grin:

Sorry to hear about the mission skunk. I hear a lot about the place, so I wanna give it a try someday.

Our motor is only a 30lb thrust. So far I haven't had a problem with it pushing us directly into the wind. Somedays I wish I had a little more power, but then I would have to worry about a bigger battery. It's a little slow, but it gets the job done.

Thanks for the Great fish porns

Thanks, I caught that beast on 8lb line. Knew it was a good fish when I felt my drag slipping (my drag is usually set pretty tight). He taped out at 21inches.

Sometimes you have to stick it out long enough til the fish are willing to cooperate.

Always great to see you two hooken'em up! Great work!! Thanks!

Thanks man. I'm hoping to see a nice hali report from you soon with the warming weather.

Thanks we didn't realize it until we looked back at the pics. The calico was a real surprise though. I caught that guy hiding underneath a dock like a spottie. I think he lost his way back to the kelp or something. I've got to give that Boji Blue a try sometime.

Thanks Jason, I'm glad to hear that you enjoy our reports. And yes we are awesome. :Envious: We enjoy catching all kinds of fish big or small that's why we're always so happy in our pics. :Big Grin:
That sandie was a beast on 8lb line. I thought maybe I had a nice butt at first, but he was movin way too much to be a flattie.

We got the rod at the Fred Hall Show after it caught Tess' attention. You need to get your wife into fishing. Tess used to hate fishing, but I changed that. I started her off at the local pier for perch and anything else that would bite. Of course I had to rebait her everytime, but she has come a long way. Now she can tie on her own lures, unhook her own fish and lip the bass. Impressive! LOL

We try to make it out when we have free time. Next time you plan on heading out, shoot me a PM.
