Its been a while since I've posted anything, but the surf fishing has been pretty good for me these past few weeks. I've been fishing the North OC tagging along with my bro as he goes surfing, so i guess so far just from newport to bolsa. Today i spent my day at HB working the beach for about 2 hours, still searching for my first legal. Got there at 9AM, fished til about 11. Although i didnt get it today, i still had a pretty good day for a short session. My apologies if my pictures suck or if the quality of the pictures are bad cuz i used my phone. So on with the part that everyone cares about, THE FISH PORN :LOL:

This was my weapon for the day, it took quite a beating, but this LC has a cool story that goes along with it because i found it while i was fishing in newport, it had no hooks, so i put some red eagle claw hooks on it, its kinda like my custom lure i guess but after today i think its gonna need somemore customization haha time to check out wingnuts custom LC thread :).

All in all a pretty fun day, all caught and released.. actually caught then ran to my backpack to grab my iphone, and then released haha.. Im heading back out to HB if anyone would like to join me tomorrow PM me. Finally i feel it necessary that i need to thank some people here for all the knowledge they've shared with me, thanks wingnut and BSP for answering my questions promptly, even my stupid questions haha. And thanks to everyone else that posts their posts haha. Hopefully soon i can post more of my fishing adventures and more pictures :LOL:

Found an LC, replaced hooks, and caught fish with it. Way cool.

@jaysuuun ya no problem for the report hopefully I can put up more and better reports with some legals haha
@calico killer Kevin yea it's pretty awesome catching cool fish with a lure found in the sand, the best part is I don't have to feel bad about losing it cuz it was practically free haha

Nice perch! Its crazy how many fatty surfperch you can catch with an LC

Dang, that's an OG LC (Green Mack). They don't make that exact pattern anymore, so it's a killer find. Good job on the fish too man! You did way better than I did when I first started tossing the LC. As for answering your questions, glad that my advice helped you out. I definitely asked really dumb questions when I started out and people helped me, so any time I can help somebody else I like to do so. PM me if you've got any more, and best of luck with getting that legal!

I might actually be in HB tomorrow, but it'll be with my friend checking out the NPPL if I am.

@DR yea ive tried surfing, but its prettty tough, but ill definitely give it a second try soon :)

@murrieta angler the water temp at HB was awesome, my only complaints were that it was a little windy and that i didnt catch any butts :( but the Ginormo-Mama-Perch were lovin the LC today, stay tuned for todays report :)
@BSP yea i kinda knew that that this LC was kinda special when i didnt see it on the LC website haha now i know its exact color haha thanks, its definitely a great pattern. If i have any questions, ill definitely send them your way
@Wingnut yea i havent put up a new report for a while, but i got tired of waiting for you to post a new report for motivation, so i figured i should try to make a report haha, well if you end up hitting the surf this weekend, then goodluck, and ill be watching for another motivational report
