The upcoming May 8th May Trout Madness tournament at Irvine lake is going to treat the first 500 registrants like Hollywood Royalty as they cash in on goodie bags that easily offset the cost of their entry fee. Check out the goodie bag photo on the attachment below to see what you get!
Thanks to the events gracious sponsors, May Trout Madness participants will receive a 330 yard filler spool of 4 pound Berkley Trilene XL line ($7.99) A jar of Berkley’s brand new garlic scented Powerbait ($3.99), a Berkley Powerbait hard or soft plastic bait ($3.99) A Snap-R-Co hook setting device, ($12.99) a pack of Mustad’s newest offerings in trout hooks including the new circle hook ($3.99) a trial subscription to California Sportsman Magazine ($15.00), a Hanes Beefy-T May Trout Madness event shirt ($14.99), and your Irvine Lake gate pass for the day ($22.00)
Add it all up and this $85.00 goodie bag is included in the price of your May Trout Madness entry fee of $60.00 for adults and $45.00 for kids 12 years and younger.
May Trout Madness is open to anglers of all ages and is formatted as an event that is geared toward fun for the entire family. While catching is key, big fish and tagged fish will be the target amongst the thousands of pounds of fish planted in the lake prior to the contest.
May Trout Madness will see hundreds of tagged fish released in the waters of Irvine Lake prior to the contest. Catch a tagged fish and it is immediately redeemable for prizes including rods, reels, gift certificates, tackle boxes, charter trips, gate passes and boat rentals, and much more! Best of all, those tagged fish prizes which are not awarded during the day will be rolled over into our afternoon raffle during the awards ceremonies, so everyone has a chance at winning!
Aside from the prizes associated with the catch of tagged fish, there will be overall big fish awards and trophies presented in each of 4 categories: top 10 big fish in the Adult Male division an top 3 big fish in each of the Adult Female, Junior Male, and Junior Female divisions.
Entry fees for May Trout Madness are affordable for all when you consider the above goodie bag that you are getting in return.
Aside from the tagged fish and big fish prizes, May Trout Madness will feature an afternoon raffle that will feature up to $5,000 in cash* – that right - $5,000 in cash going back to our contestants. 15 sealed envelopes containing from $100 to $1,000 will be randomly raffled off during the awards ceremony. The awards ceremony will conclude with the grand raffle prize drawing for a Forever Resorts week-long houseboat vacation on Lake Mead valued at $5,000
