Me and SamGann93 had this trip planned for a while. I've been on my regular vacation, and he went on his short spring break vacation, so we said, Screw it! Let's go to NPH Monday!
Weather was kind bad in the morning, rain and wind. This was my 1st time takin out the boat on my own so it was a little sporty drive for me... Saw a pathfinder flip on the North on the 5, and a damn RV lost control right in front of me... avoided him and he scraped a concrete wall on the far right lane. Crazy morning, but otherwise had Some tunes playing, Metallica, Motley Crue, It dies Today, Memphis May Fire.... etc... Nice Adventure!:EyePop::Envious:
Met with Sam at Newport dunes at 6am and launched. We had overcast, wind and rain... but we said screw it, we're crazy anyways.

We started off at the Bridge only one guy.

Then We moved along to some slips and sammy started slayin! We found a decent amount of action in that area... I landed my PB Spottie, About 3lbs and 18", fought Hard (didn't take a picture! Released asap)! Sammy slayed them on 3" Big Hammers. A real consistent bite!

We moved on as the bite slowed down a bit to another spot. We also had to get away from the weather because it stared getting wind and spray everywhere. Sam caught a few more... Had trouble controlling the boat as my battery isn't good anymore.
It was SLOWWW From thereon so we boated a few more in and called it a day.

Halibut-1 about 16"
Geordy
Spotties-2 PB 3lb'er 18".
Baits used:
3" BH Toast Color

It was overall very slow, weather sucked, and bite wasn't too good, but we managed to scrap some out. It was a fun experience and more trips coming up soon. Hopefully Weather Cooperates next time and slay goes to the maxxxxx!:Envious:
