Hey Everyone,

Headed to Seal beach today to try my luck in the surf. It was an incoming tide through sunset so I thought I'd have some luck...

Tried some gulp imitation SC's for nada (does that stuff work for any one?) After a while I switched to a gulp camo worm had a huge swing and a miss. Decided to try digging for my own sand crabs witch was a first for me. I was excited to find some but they were all of the hardshell variety. Tried them for a while (not sure if I was pinning them on right). Came up empty for a while so I went back to the gulp camo for this little halibut...

That got rid of the skunk...
Well I fished for a while longer and the sun had set. I had seen some sliders throughout the day and was about to give up. As it was getting darker I started noticing a few more fish getting active in the white wash. Just before giving up I caught a fish that gave me my best fight from the surf in a long while..

I thought it was my first corbina ever... It had the little goatee and everything. Very good fight for its size and I called it a day. Now after seeing the picture on my computer I'm wondering if it was a YFC instead... At any rate that last fish made the entire evening worth it : )

Nope!!! Never caught anything with it and never heard of anyone catching anything with it either.
