I hit the Lagoon right when they opened and went off to my first spot. When I first got there, I saw a few bass and started to sight fish for them. I was able to land a 2 lber pretty fast. I kept moving down and saw some more fish and eventually landed two more 2 lbers. I forgot my digital scale at home, so I had to use my old scale, which I can only get weights to the nearest half with. It started getting windy and the chop on the water was preventing me from sight fishing efficiently, so I moved on to another spot. At this spot, the bass have been getting hammered by all the fishermen, so they were pretty spooky. I found one that I was able to hook, but I lost it after a couple cranks of the reel. I was upset and had to land him. I continued to fish for this fish and then I was able to hook him again. He was putting up a nice fight on 2 lb test and he was in the 2 lb range. I got him right next to my tube and I was about to grab him, but then he just disappeared! I don't even know how he came unhooked! I was even more upset than before and tried to hook him AGAIN, but he didn't want to get near my jig anymore, lol. I left pretty early because of the wind.

Robo Bass finally got his new tube after having his last one explode, so he wanted to go take it out and I decided to join him. We were in the water at around 8:15 and went to the spot that I fished the day before. I started to fish for a bass on some rocks and sandbags or something that looked like a body, lol. At first I really thought it was a body, but examined it closer and it was just rocks and what looked like sandbags that formed a torso and head, lol. I was finally able to hook him and then cranked twice on my reel and then SNAP! My line broke on my first fish!! What a bad start! It wasn't too big, just 2 lbs, but I was disappointed! I knew I should have retied since the day before! I moved on to another fish and I was able to hook this one and land it. It wasn't as big and was only 1 lb 6 oz. Robo Bass and I moved on to another bass, but the wind started to pick up and we could hardly see anything in the water anymore. We move on to another spot and Robo Bass was able to catch his first sight fish, a crappie. It was pretty nice at 1 lb 11 oz and he moved on to another fish. This time it was a bass and he was able to catch it fairly fast, but it was a dink! I started to drift along a dock and right as my lure went past a piling it got hit and I reeled him in. It was a pretty nice 1 lb 11 oz crappie. After that we decided to move all the way to the North end. I moved into a place near where I lost a fish last week and threw out my bait to let it sit. Robo Bass moved deeper into the spot and started sight fishing and was able to hook what looked like a 3.5 lber or maybe even a 4 lber, but his drag was messed up and the fish broke his line!! A minute after, a bass picked my bait up and started to swim off with it, but I didn't feel the fish. I lift my rod tip to reel in my bait, but I felt some pressure and then I saw the flash of a bass freaking out. He put up a nice fight and I landed him after a minute or two. He was a nice chunky 3 lber! We moved once again and Robo Bass caught a 1 lb 6 oz crappie. A little bit later I caught a small 1 lb 3 oz crappie. We moved back near the spot where I got a 3 lber and I saw a bass and put my bait near him and backed away from him and he ripped it right off of the hook! Robo Bass moved down further and caught a crappie and it was a nice one probably a little over 2 lbs, but we were unable to get a picture because it flopped off his tube after he unhooked it, lol. A few minutes after that, Robo Bass found a bass and started to sight fish for him and the bass started to get aggressive pretty fast. He missed the hook set a couple times and finally hooked him and while fighting him, the drag on his reel got stuck again and the bass broke Robo's line!! It got pretty windy and there were white caps, so we decided to leave. I would have been able to hit another spot that would have been good, but it would have been tough fighting the wind and Robo wanted to fish a different spot, which was a bad idea.
