With all the competition and the news bashing on Toyota, Toyota sales went up 40%..

The Toyota Dealership I work for sold 649 cars in March alone, there putting up sales numbers that were seen 3yrs ago when the economy was booming!

But, when they're more interested in listening to "focus groups" telling them they want their vehicles to have more DVD screens and services like OnStar™ so you can call a tow truck from the comfort of your own car when when their transmission dies, it kinda makes sense.

Kinda reminds me of The Simpson's episode where Homer designs a car for his brother's auto company and it becomes a complete failure.

Thats a big step above by GM on the on-star... Toyota is coming up on that technology too, Lexus has it now and soon it'll be an option on toyota called "Safety Connect".... I'm really a Toyota Guy but Chevy would be my 2nd choice if I had to choose a truck.

Always hated Rice Burners. Why do they make them so complicated. A real biatch to figure out.
Was a VW mechanic out of high school for 8 years then got into Porsche, Mercedes, BMW.
Had several Volvos over the years and my daughter just got a 2006 V50 black sport wagon with 18,000 miles on it.
She paid $20,000 used and could have bought a new Toyota for that price.
The wife has a 1992 740 wagon we bought in 1998. 160k,000 miles on it and it runs like a champ.

Oh, I just remembered my current car is a 1990 Honda Shuttle wagon.
No Air Bags, No ABS, No Power Windows, No Power Steering. Nice.

my wife got a white one last year and she justs loves it.........my transmission went out on my dodge two weeks ago.......so we had it towed to a dealership......because we both knew i needed at good truck to pull my boat........at the time we thought toyota with all the problems they are having......we might be able to swing a good deal............the rest is history.....now we have two toyota trucks.

All I really see is that there was a huge accident, and the cabin looks in real good shape... Why not? Tacomas got the BEST Rating for the Smaller Truck Segment. And the Frontier ("Rice Burner") got there 2nd. All other trucks got Marginal to Poor ratings. I love Toyota :Envious:
