View Full Version : Quick Pier Session in Ventura this morning.

Had the day off so I decided to make the short drive to ventura to fish the pier for a bit.
Dropshotted with white flukes on very light line for about an hour before I finally got a nibble.
Hooked this little guy (brought my hoopnet with me since I didnt want to risk a broken line reeling fish up... glad I did, cuz the hook popped out right when I get him into the net).
Brought him home and made a couple mini tacos for lunch. Not bad for a quick trip.

Is that a short hali??? I have a few hoop nets and the inner ring is nowhere near 22inches and that butt looks like it can fit in that ring with room to spare.

Haha, I can't beleive no one else jumped on this golden opportunity. At least I fooled a couple of people.
