morning FNN...thinking about hitting the Sierras soon with the GF and fam. and was wondering what cabins/motel/hotel you stay at???...we are not camping in a tent, or taking an RV.

Not to sure where in the Sierras we are thinking about fishing at,..we havnt decided that yet,..but we are also open for suggestions on that as well.

i googled as much as i can,..but i thought it'd better to hear it from fellow fisherman on places you reccomend with fair prices. At the same time others can learn from this thread since the season is coming in. Thank you all ahead of time.

Parchers Resort....
New remodels, nice cabins in several sizes, fair prices, close to heaven/location, plus the expert advice from Smitty & Bro's...
Just doesnt get any better...

seasons 4 in mammoth. cabins for a great price, stocked with fire wood, home like atmoshpere because each unit is privately owned, and each unit is different. i like unit 177. there is a nice hot tub and sauna for relaxing after a long day of fishing and it is centrally located in mammoth. i dont work for the place or anything, it just happens to be the only place i stay when the wife and i go to mammoth. sue as hell beats the high priced hotels in the area.

Jsauce,

I agree 110% with Nessie.......Parcher's Resort.
Beautiful area, great folks and good fishing.

I hope you might consider signing up for the FNN event in June.

We did it for the first time last year and now I'll be there EVERY year.

http://mcgeecreek.com/ you can see lake crowley from the grounds. walk to mcgee creek in 1 minute.

http://www.mammothkve.com/ i stayed here 14 years ago. has a pool and hot tub. firewood included. kitchen. great when bringing the wife, cause you can go fishing and she can walk 2 blocks away and be in the town of mammoth.

both these run about $100 a night

If I want to splurge and make with the Rustic feel, I like Convict lake Resort (Cabins), or Twin Lakes Cabins (Mammoth Lakes Twin Lakes Resort, most cabins within easy walk to the "Twins".
If I want a place just to sleep Motel 6 in Mammoth is Centrally located (Crowley Lake/Upper Owens River/Hot Creek down the hill just a few minutes, Mary, Mamie, George up the hill 15 min., 20 minutes to the June Lake Loop, 40 to Bridgeport/E/Walker River). Not to mention plenty of variety in choices for food. Plus very inexpensive (relative to everything else up there, also internet booking discount...already booked 12 trips this summer!). You have to book early however as it gets booked quickly for weekends. Weekday rates cheaper and easier to make reservations.
Just my opinion.
