Fished the Fin for a total of about 2 hours today. Got 4 hooked up, lost 2. I rarely bait fish anymore and had no trebles in the size I like, so I fished the pack of small singles I had. Orange PB on a 14-18" leader got all my fish. Fished the hardware and plastics a bit, didnt have enough time really. There is a good hatch of midges coming up in the 16-18 size range, and by the time it got really dark and the security van came 'bout, there were plenty of rising fish. Small tube jigs and spoons ought to do well.
Had a pair of 3-4lb bass chase a hooked fish today. Bassers, good time to try a Hudd. Better yet, throw a Triple Trout or JSJ Snack Size when they are just following and give a good twitch to spin it back at'em. That might be the key to getting some of these following fish to bite the big baits right now.
