Had a decent day in the bay. All fish caught on big hammers smothered in unibutter. Got my new personal best at 4lb looked to be about 18-20inches... Guy that watched me catch it said in the 10years hes worked there he has never seen this big of a spottie come out. safely released!

Thanks,
Sam

Beasty. Good job. I use the same setup. Me and my buddy launched off long beach harbor yesterday and it was intense. I was using the unibutter for the first time and my buddy has been using his calico cocktail pro cure the for the longest time now. Anyways, my hookup rate vs his was 2:1. By the time I reached 6 or 7 spotties, he began catching up after smothering some of my unibutter all over and smoking me up to his 13th spotty which left me at my 10th at the end of the day. At one point my buddy almost hooked a spottie but he was caught off guard, so he lost it. A couple seconds later it came back but he wasn't quick enough to set the hook so he lost it again, and lastly the third time the spotty came around, he finally yanked that hook and pulled that sucker up. Its crazy how these bad boys love the buttaaahh. Hands down my favorite attractant thus far.

Thanks guys. Ya the thing was a beast. Didnt get skinny at all but it wasnt a football like the lmb's get. It was very proportional to its big head. haha. I wish i would have had a tape on me or a scale. I would have loved to get an official weight and length but i wanted to get the fish back in the water asap.

Thanks again guys.
