fished just under 3 hours this morning and nailed 10 FISH (9 bass and one crappie)
I LANDED THAT EFFIN PIG CRAPPIE I mentioned last weekend in about 2 minutes this morning. she weighed in at 2lbs 15 oz (one damn ounce short of 3 lbs!!!!)
my TOURNAMENT bag limit was over 20 lbs baby!!!! (and in only 3 hours!!!) EPIC morning! and it was just me and two yakers out there.
bass as follows:
1. 4.15
2. 4.6
3. 4.2
4. 3.14
5. 3.3
the rest were all between 2.2 lbs and 2.15 lbs. INSANE MORNING. clarity was 10 feet and it was hazy os it was PERFECT out there.

4.15 pounder here (1st pic)(a kayaker named Edwin watched me nail her and then snapped the photo (good to have a witness of a fish that is ONE FRIGGIN ounce shy of 5lbs) (dang...that's two in a row that missed by an ounce!)

Hi,
Planning to fish from shore tomorrow for LMB. i was wondering if shore fishing is more accessible from the lagoon or the main lake. Any tips would be appreciated. I am coming down from Santa Barbara and I usually fish Casitas, but I would like to try a new lake and Castaic seems awesome.

Not bad for 3 hrs of fishing:!!!:I've lived/fished out here since '79 and I've never had a whole day like that, Props :Applause:
I was going to get out mid-morning but had conference call w/attorney and onother w/Back Specialist. It was about 2p. when finished decided it was too late to get out (I know poor excuse). Guess I'll have to try for the weekend.

Great job! Did the wind pick up down there today? I thought about heading dowen this morning but it was, and still is, very windy here so I didnt go.

Dude awesome job on the bass, theres some nice fish there. Im deciding on whether going to the upper or lower castaic and my minds leaning toward the lower. Were these fish caught on plastics?

It was sooo good that I went back after work for another 90 minute tube session.
landed 5 more in 90 minutes. 2 more were over 3lbs (3.6 and 3.3)
15 bass in 4.5 hours...I will go out on a limb and say that the fishing is good now :P
one of them was on a new jerkbait (a little guy) and right when I was tring to get the hooks out of his mouth...he shook and snapped the line...he landed in the water and scooted off with my lure (6 treble hooks in him) in his mouth. he was a little guy too (maybe 1.5 lbs)...I don't the little guy is gonna make it cuz one set of hooks was on one side of his mouth and one set on the other. the jerkbait was going side to side right over the opening of his mouth...I hope he makes it. He was in Paradise cove, so hopefully if he's struggling...someone can see him and help him out in a few days...bummed about that for sure...

the tube tourney in two weeks is gonna be CRAZY. They are going to need more boats for weighing fish cuz those guys are gonna be BUSY!!!
