Got to the lake about 7:20am monday morning. First cast FISH ON and never stopped from there. We left the lake at 630pm only because thats when they say you have to be off the water. All in all we caught around 120-140 bass between 3 of us. 4 3/4lb was the big on we caught another 4 and about 30 or more 2+ lb. It was the best day i have ever had bass fishing.

Sounds like a blast! So, your from Boron? I'm up in Ridgecrest myself. Pretty funny huh? Bass fishermen in the middle of the desert

Thats nuts. I was there on Tues and fished hard. Drop shots, jigs, flipping beds, etc. I managed 4 keeper fish. You must have had a secret bait or one big gill net! What part of the lake were you at and what type of baits? Cant believe it turned around that fast, but anything can happen I suppose.

Nice! Good to hear that Piru is picking up! I remember about 2 years ago me and my pops used to go to piru and had good days like those! Congrats!

First thing is I have to say say that day was nuts, The best day I have ever had on any lake, Next we fished from a boat and caught most fish on the up in the far north cove, last we used the same damn bait that every on else is using (robo oxblood). Hell yea ill go fishing with you just let me know...

I believe you Boron...Piru can go OFF at times...I mean, WFO.
The last time I was there(Oct.), my buddy and I must have caught 40+ fish from the bank from 4pm-7pm...

Confirmed from dude I met at Casitas today. HIs buddy set it off a couple days ago at Piru.
Anyone want to split a boat there Saturday or Sunday?

Went there Friday, people at the gate said the water went up two feet in 45 minutes (something about Pyramid releasing water). Fished five hours, nothing but two dinks... Think the change in water level may have shut things down.
