I haven't hit the big pond in a while, so I took advantage of the Captain's Special out of 22nd St. Landing. $45 Wednesdays are great imo. Where can you fish Catalina Island for $45 dollars? It was little cold in the morning, but the day turn out nice. We did the rock fishing thing in the morning and fished several beaches for the sea bass midday, but came up short. We finished our day of fishing along the kelp-line. Over all fishing was a little on the slow side, but it was just nice to be out. Thanks for the report and pics. Ill try and get out on the PURSUIT a few times this year once things pick up. Its hard to get on that boat with a light load but the captain puts you on the fish and the crew works hard. DId you guys catch any bonies?

It's Pursuit not Persuit JR. The season just started and I have a feeling it's gonna be a great season this year.

No bonies this time out, I'm sure they are around though. We fished the backside in hope of some seabass. Too far back to fish both sides today.

No, I caught 8 whitefish a few starries and one legal calico bass.

The last time I went out on the Pursuit on a Wed, it seemed like half of Korea was on the boat with me.

Needless to say, I never went on Wednesdays again.

The Pursuit and its crew are top notch, though!

Way to get out and fish the salt. Looks like a decent mixed bag.The info on the white sea bass really helps too. The white sea bass can turn on at any time.
