I was going to rent a boat tomorrow, but my wife decide to go. She cant go on the boat because of a injury she has. I was pretty suprised when she said, "can I go?", I was like yaaaaa!, it actually made me happy, since she is not fond of fishing.

So now since I have nevered fished for striper on the shoreline, what is a good setup. Dropper loop, caroline, split.....?

Thanks

Ya! just use the same setup as you were fishing on a boat

Most fish that I've seen caught have been on a carolina setup using a 3/4 to 1 1/2 oz egg sinker to get the bait out there. A word of caution, the dam area is verry rocky. When you retrieve your line pull up on the rod as if you were setting the hook just not as quickly and then reel in the line fast to keep the sinker out of the rocks. Otherwise you'll keep loosing your setup.

Good luck out there.
