I slammed this 7 lb. beauty at Quarry Lake this past Friday morning. I had my pole in the water at 6 AM...and no bites for a couple of hours. Immediately at sunrise, around 8 AM or so, my pole started dancing. I slammed the hook and she put up a good fight till the finish. Nice tail, and no scrapes or scars; just pure beauty!
I had a ball of Chartreuse w/glitter Powerbait (gotta have the glitter!!) on a size 14 treble hook with a 3 1/2- foot (6 lb test) leader.
