Deadroots(Paully) Hits me up and tells me "Geordy, Do you want a Paul-ish sausage?" I say no, but MDR does sound really fun. We leave at around 4:30pm or so to get to the 405's wonderful traffic. We went to the Ralphs there to pic up some grub and were on the water at around 6pm.

We started off trolling LC's right before sundown, but no cudas in sight. So we got bored and decided to just go straight off to the "T" Jetty. We got there at low-incoming tide and Paul got 5 within 25min or so, I got 3 thereafter. The honeyhole was gone and we were drifting for hookups. We managed to get a few more dink calicos and 1 legal in the boat. Since Paully had to do some errands after we decided to leave about 3 hours later. He caught a couple Barracudas on the way in with the LC Minnow(Wingnut deluxe) and we called it a day, errr Night.

Final Tally:
Me:6 Bass
Deadroots:about 10 bass and 2 Barracuda.

Baits and Gear:
Paul-
7'6" BPS CarbonLite MH/Shimano Curado 200 12lb test BPS Excel.
6'6" Green Wal-Mart Special Rod lol
Gulp Alive 4" Minnow in various Colors.
Lucky Craft Flash Minnow

Geordinko-
7'6" Shimano Clarus H/ Daiwa Advantage 15lb Viscious
7'3" Carrot Stix MH/Sahara 3000 30lb Spiderwire
7'2" Carrot Stix M/Daiwa Sol 8lb Fluoroclear
Gulp 6" Jerkshads in Smelt and Chovy
Gulp! Alive 4" Minnow Various Colors
LC Staysee American Shad

Quick Notes, Fresh 8lb Fluoroclear Deteriorates in Saltwater, And too much memory; a big minus. I switched to 10lb BPS Excel. That Viscious Line had wayyyy too much memory too, and too thick. I'd stay away from them. On the other hand, That BPS excel is awesome line for the price!

Hey "G", I'm missing a couple of LC's out of my surf pack... I knew you had something to do with it.
I still haven't fished MDR yet, maybe I need to hire you as a guide.
Nice catches!
