I have an acre in Hesperia. I do not use the back half and Jumpman gave me the idea. I didn't know if there are certain permits, fees, etc.. I am sure there are others out there with there own little fishing holes. My only concerns are the health codes that might stop it.

Sounds like a great idea, but it will be very expensive to build, maintain, and get water to it on a regular basis. Do you have access to water?; because that will be you biggest expense by far especially since we live in a state that has water shortages all the time.

+1 on the water research. Good water is absolutely necessary and its not cheap.

If you know any real estate guys from your area, talk to them abou getting the permits and what not

I know of people that have wells in Hesperia. I was thinking about seeing if they still give permits for drilling. I know that there is water under Hesperia, but i dont know if I happen to be sitting on some. Hesperia itself has its own water district. There is a huge water table under it. They may have stopped giving permits since the city has grown in the last couple of years. its just a thought for now, but hopefully one day can become reallity.

I would make a trip to Uncle Paul's Pond and talk to him about it. I know that he has been making that thing bigger and he is permitted for all of that same stuff. Who better to talk to then someone who has already been there and done that.
