Hello again friends. I am glad business is picking up again so I have more work. The only downside is less fishing time. I finished up some of my work early and called my friend Ricky to join me in my weekly Castaic Lake fishing trip. We had a late start. Got to the lake around 1ish. By time we got to one of my spots it was almost 2. I was contemplating on which spot to hit. I hate blurring out my background and since I revealed my spot in some of my recent posts, I noticed there are like 772676923744 more boats in that area. I did not want to deal with the boat traffic so I chose an area with less boat pressure today. We fished for 3 hours and had to leave because Ricky got seasick. We pretty much slay'd them. Castaic has been pretty good to me. Here are the time captured stills from my phone. Enjoy.

Nice fish to start the fishing trip.

Ricky the Bear turn. I did not take a pic of his fish cause his fish doesnt count.

Ricky going Bendo again. We got most of our fish on the $20 Fred Hall Kencor rods. The action is perfect for the stripers. I should of bought two.

Another decent fish. That is my new addition to my boat to the upper left. Collapsible cup holders. A damn good investment.

I forgot the the net today, so Ricky and I had to play Bassmasters. We had to do the lip grab. It was not fun at all.

Or we had to do the other bassmaster grab. The under the belly lift.

Later on I got rewarded with a Large unit. The pics do not do her just. She was a pig.

More doubles. Large unit compared to a schoolie. Guess which one is Rickys.

This is pretty much how it looked all day for us. Bendo.

More Bendos! All on the Kencor rods.

We ran into Dan (Lowe Boat) and Wayne. We told them we forgot our net. They were nice enough to lend us their extra net for the day. No more playing bassmaster for us. Such a relief.

Another Large Unit for me.

Here is Ricky modeling some linesides to give you an idea on the size. Ricky is 6 ft something, 200 something pounds.

I forgot to take my parting shot this week. Here is something I had last week at a restaurant. Raw geoduck (aka the penis clam) on ice. I can tell you it is not worth the 24 bucks I paid.
A lot of you are asking what kind of bait I am using. I am not using fresh bait. Sometimes I do. Sometimes I use Gallions pak. Sometimes I used the rotten ones. Sometimes I use the aged or cured one from my freezer. I have a concept that I am testing and it seems to be working out alright. Or maybe I am just crazy.
Hope you enjoyed fishing with me again. It was a short trip but a epic one. See you all next week if work doesnt get the best of me.
