Father Daughter time at Perris

Made it out to Lake Perris today for a little father daughter time & some trout fishing .
We arrived around 10am to try the boat ramps first. Weather was blue skies and warm
today , mucho warm . We set up some bait rods while we munched on some Mcd's, then
started tossing the lures hoping to get some followers, but no takers . I started making the
rounds gathering some info from other fisher people nearby, word was slow day so far.
Ok after about an hour we decided to make a move to the dam off sail cove in hopes of
some hookups.After some boulder hopping and working our way across the dam we set up
the bait rods for the trout and I worked the senko from time to time. Turned out to be a good
move, we picked off 3 nice looking trout on the power bait within a couple hours & spent some
time relaxing, then called it a day.
No luck on the bass today , will get'em next time .

soak it up....those are priceless memories for sure...good call on the move and it payed off with some nice trout...
what were you using for bait???.....i just left belevdere park trout fishing and got some Mc'Ds too.....its good fishing food..lol

Looks like you had a great father/daughter outing. Those are a couple nice looking trout. I sure wish that they would fill the lake back up. That way, there would be less time rock hopping and more time wetting a line.
