Jess ranch 3-13-10

[MAN VS WILD]

It’s been a while since I have been out and I’m glad plans changed so I could go fishing. Hit up Jess Ranch and was second in line. Lots of fellow anglers out today. It was really cold and very windy. We were on Lake 3, Logged Shore. The bite was dead for this whole side. I saw these kids at the Grassy Point just killing it. Around 11 the cold, wind and dead bite started sending people home. 11:30 I get my first fish. 5 min later Mark “FishWhisperer” gets his first. Then it was dead again. Around 1 the bite picked up a bit and by 2pm there was only 2 other anglers on the lake with us. That’s when the bite went on fire. Mark got his limit and bagged a nice 3 lber and I got 4 nice 2 lbers all by 3pm. We stuck it out through the elements and try everything in the tackle box the get the fish we got. These fish really put on a good fight. I got one with a orange/yellow powermouse and the other 3 on rainbow/garlic powerbait. Mark got one on green power eggs, two on orange nitro eggs (one being that 3lber), and two on powerbait. I wish I would have had some of that “BITE ON GARLIC” with me. Been hearing good things about this product. Besides the cold and wind it was a good day and I’m glad we stuck it out because we almost left. Fishised the trip with a 3x3 and cheese fries at In n Out.

Way to stick it out and own it! You got some nice fish. Tenacity is what separates the hardcore from the wussies! Never let a little weather scare you off (lightning excepted--lol).

Good job man!!! I stopped going to this lake tho there is to much favoritism. If your a regular you get treated great if not they just blow you off! Oh well plenty of other lakes around.

Thanks for getting that for me but we will be up in Santa Barabara for Aaron's volleyball tournament on Saturday. The following week I'm open let me know where your going to be.
