Had the weekend off starting this Friday when I got the invite from a friend to go fish Piru. This being one of my favorite lake I took him up on his offer. The morning started at 4 am to get to the docks by 6:30 after breakfast. It was cold, the truck showed 38 when we launched with a water temp of 55. That didn't effect the fishing, I pulled this one out ten miniutes after getting on the water working a jig @ 3.5lbs.

The bite stoped short after so we made the call to move across the lake to a few of our spots. My friend caught the next one, a good 2lb's. I was a little upset the wind started to pick up early around 9, and it was tuff. The rest of the day we were hiding in the coves staying out of the wind. This wasn't all that bad being after a few hour of this we were culling bass that were 2-3 lbs. Here are a few pics that we had time to take. By the end of the day we had our best ten at 20-25 lbs between the two of us.
