Did some carp fishing for a few hours on sunday. Got just this one and had one other run that i missed. 21 lb fatty.

I used corn on a hair rig and my own special recipe method mix

I really like your setup too, looks likes some sweet bite alarms. You use Fox bite alarms?

They're BFS alarms, I only ge the cheap stuff. haha But I had my daughter and 2 nieces there with me and my niece knocked the tripod forward into the water so i quickly got them out and pulled the batteries out and left them out to dry. Hopefully they still work.

What lake were you at? Is there anything else in that water besides monster carp? Also, what do you do with the carp after catching it? I've heard all my life that they suck as far as eating. My Uncle also told me that Corona Lake wants people to throw carp on shore if they catch them. I guess they're becoming a problem at that lake.

I used 8 lb line on the rod that caught that one. I always catch and release. In Europe carp are as big a sport fish as bass are here. For some reason people here have this idea that carp are bad to have in their lakes, but its just not true. Carp are vegetarians and have no effect on other species of fish.
